Losing Alaska

An Ode To Life

Insanity

Drip, drip, drop,
Drip, drip, drop,
Rain dripping down sploshing on the damp wet ground,
Rain dripping down thudding the top of my roof as I listen,
Rain dripping down tripping and trapping against the windows by which I sit,
Rain dripping down urgling and gurgling in my head I can hear it,
Drip, drip, drop,
Drip, drip, drop,
Rain pouring down slip slopping into the leaves it crashes,
Crack of the lightening and drone of the thunder,
The haunting roar as the rain plummets through the atmosphere,
The wind whooshing in and out of the drip, drip, drops,
The ever-ceaseless rain sending the increasingly vibrant sound into the stifling air,
The loudening drum of a volatile hum
Drip, drip, drop,
Drip, drip, drop,
The rain beating down rish-rashing against my house I fear it,
Rain falling down plish-ploshing and blip-blopping into a bucket it silently shrieks,
The rain coming down,
The trish-troshing and slip-slopping of the rain begin to consume me,
Drip, drip, drop,
Drip, drip, drop,
The rain it is quickly filling me with its wooshing and its swooshing,
Filling me from head to toe,
The rain its surging and its searing through my legs up to my brain,
RAIN,
It is bubbling and rising up though my cranium,
THE RAIN
With its whish, woosh, wash, zapped through my heart and shot to my core,
Now the rain with its never-ending consistency,
Constantly with this noise I plea,
Drip, Drip, Drop,
Drip,
Drip,
Drop.
