The crimson tide slowly washes over me,
The cascading ebony of the color red clipping my beautiful wings,
The chain of society perpetually tightening around my body every time I try to lift off,
This chilling cement rain puddling and forming upon my feet,
I can feel it,
Every hardening drop keeping me who I am yesterday,
And I strain,
I strain to break the mold of me mechanically made thoughtlessly by the generations that have come to be,
And I suffer,
I suffer through the pain and spread my insecure hesitant wings,
I need to fly,
I need to fly and be beautiful,
Soar out of the ebony and crimson consuming my freedom of being,
I need to break,
Break the damned cement casts upon my feet or the crimson will soon have all of the way devoured and claimed me,
The next mindless victim of a cracked reality that has come,
Raped,
Pillaged,
And impregnated me
